He starts in the old traditional newsreading way and ends in a style not seen yet - a pioneer maybe. See you later dude!

So far I think Gordon was the least professional in his manner, the end was a bit of a shambles and he didn't conduct the interviews very well. Also his suit was too big. Still, he did well considering he only got an hours rehearsal.

Anna Ford might be interesting as she is the only one still presenting a mainstream news programme.

I'd imagine he's had more than an hour as most of the old faces have spent a couple of days at ITN some of that must have been spent rehearsing. Personally I never liked Gordon's style when he read the TVam news, but I suppose it is important to remember that he comes from a time when the news on TV was a completely different beast.

That's YOUR opinion NOT mine.I thought he was great his style is very dated and he is a bit rusty but what did you expect he hasn't read news since his TV AM days.He does sound and is very old school .

He has just shocked Joyce on the news channel by telling her his fav and finally stories was about bustards "the birds" she was a bit taken a back while he explained it.

Ok, your opinion. But the man came accross as boring, and old fashioned. He didn't add any flavour or cement to the Evening News, and putting him on was a mistake.

Erm, I think that's understandable as he comes from a different era and IS old fashioned.
