5 News has finally moved to Lower Thames Street.

It started low key last week with the lunch, evening and weekend heads, with 5 News at 5 and 6.30 making their début on Monday, along with the bulletins going HD.

Here's a pic of tonight's fixed shot bulletin from the new CSO.

Watched quite a bit of Five News this week for the first time in a while, and the difference in quality is much improved on the latter Sky News produced months. Far better balance between hard and soft news

And those rumours of foreign reporting being cutback seem to be absolute rubbish. Reports from Brussels, Rome and Gaza on tonights programme

So I see that 5News have gone for a CSO set up at the new studios too. Was this originally planned, or do you think that they've liked what ITN achieved at Grays Inn Road, and chose a similar set up?

Moving to Northern and Shell has worked to 5 News's advantage. They managed to get a journalist in the studio from OK! magazine at short notice to discuss the Duchess of Cambridge's pregnancy.

Managed?
Managed?

Imagine the heads rolling at Channel 4 News right now for not "managing" to book an airhead to plug a celebrity magazine while fawning over some rich posh people in a sycophancy-fest.

I'm sure Newsnight has Heat on redial right now.
