ITN news during the night:

I have to ask, I was told that all ITN bulletins had to be broadcast at the same time by all the regional compaines , but when it come to nighttime these bulletins were never live in half the area. I know for a fact that Scottish televison used to record them and show them at different point during the night.

Why did the night time get away with moving the bulletins around? Or did ITV provide live feed for all at different times?

I'm guessing STV/UTV don't always show the overnight update live even now considering their different overnight schedules?

That's right. STV regularly shows a recorded version of the News Headlines around an hour or so after it was first aired on the network.

I thought that was against the rules?

As utv take the itv1 feed overnight I guess the bulletin is live in utv land.

IS there STILL news bulletins over night?

I thought they normally had three hours of BrainBox or something similar overnight?
