The ITN-branded news on ITV was dropped in 1999 when the News at Ten was axed and the main bulletin moved to 6.30.
From that point, the programmes were branded the 'ITV Evening News' etc.
I believe the reason given at the time was that ITV needed to create a stronger identity for its programmes in a multi-channel age, or something to that effect.
At first, ITN was still referred to quite a bit - there was a voiceover at the start of the programme saying "From the studio of ITN, The ITV Evening News...". All the reporter astons had the ITN logo on them, and they referred to people as 'ITN's political editor' etc.
But after a while (can't remember exactly when), all references to ITN were scrapped, apart from the endboard.
ITN was basically dropped in 1999 as said above, though all programmes opened "From ITN, the ITV ... News with ...". It was in 2001 when News at Ten returned that all references to ITN ended.
Interestingly, certainly in the 90s though introduced "From the studios of ITN" News at Ten didn't really have ITN branding throughout - the reporters signed off News at Ten (othr bulletins were signed off ITN) - and I don't think ITN appeared on the astons.
The ITN logo did appear on some of the astons during the 90s, but only the ones for reporters. I believe the same was true for all bulletins (although News at Ten had a different graphics package).
News at Ten also began with the ITN logo superimposed over a shot of Big Ben.

The Red bar was used on the ITN Early evening News graphics (used to be on at 17:40 weekdays). And the yellow bar was used on the ITN Lunchtime News. The news desk in the studio also had a corresponding red or yellow flouresecent tube on the front of it. I think ITN World News also used the red graphic.
