Their HRH’s recent trip to Africa will be shown on ITV on Sunday. One hour special documentary at 9pm.

Notably, Tom Bradby is the presenter. Are we to conclude that he’s taken over from Sir Trevor and Sir Alastair as the Royals’ preferred “go-to” person within the TV News community?

ITN (moreso ITV) seem to do well in landing these scoops. When was the last time Auntie had one?

I wouldn't say so. Tom has this scoop in particular because he is a very close friend of Harry.

I think perception wise it's better ITV cover them rather than have the accusations of having licence fee money wasted on covering what many would see as a waste of taxpayers money.
Turns out nobody had 2020 vision.

Blimey, I thought this sort of propaganda has stopped 30 years ago. Are ITV so desperate for schedule fillers than we have "irrelevant couple on holiday"? Shocked

What 'scoop'? I take pictures which my mobile then makes into little movie montages, but I don't BORE THE NATION with them, just my unfortunate friends.

I have no idea why anyone would want to watch any of this family on holiday, even with nibbles and free wine.

So, an hour long holiday slideshow. Last time I saw one of them my nan and grandad made a 2012 Benidorm DVD in Windows DVD Maker.
Aspiring continuity announcer.

OK, I'm just using this post as an excuse to share one of my favourite things I've found on Wikipedia, but back in the '40s that was considered primetime entertainment… https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geographically_Speaking

Your incredibly facetious posts on this thread have made clear you're not exactly a monarchist.

However, whatever your views on the royal family, Tom was filming with Harry and Meghan at the same time they took the decision to sue the Daily Mail. Bradby says the reasons behind their decision are made clear in the documentary. Therefore it is - by definition - a scoop.

Are you referring to Sir Alastair Burnett who is no longer with us or Mr Stewart who is overdue an upgrade from his OBE?
Write that down in your copybook now.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex may be mid-tier Royals, but there's huge public interest in both of them.

Id hardly say Harry was a mid tier royal. Him and William are very popular and I would say are in the highest tiers other than the one occupied by The Queen herself.
