I was wondering if anyone had any sort of floorplan of the studios they use at ITN? I assume ITV News, C4 and Five news all come from the same building as well as IRN? What studio does each station use and are they restricted on what they can do. For example can C4 use any news from the ITV newsdesk or can Five reporters wonder into the Channel 4 newsroom and nick some teabags - that kind of thing! Or are they only allowed to keep themselves in there own areas of the building?

Tweety are you in a time capsule sweetie , i checked the date to see if this thread started in 2004. Five havnt been neighbours of channel 4 in the last 9 months , they'd have to walk up the M4 to borrow a cup of sugar now.

I remember that Channel 4 did very occasionally share a 'guest ' with five or ITV NC .

Saracasm I can live with but I don't appreciate being called a twit. I like to get involved in topics and the like and I am still new and I think calling me a twit is a little unfair for starting a topic that I'm keen to know the answer to.

Mizzb - I did have a look which I should have done and also found a thread that was from early 2004. It mentions the studios what they were in. One poster said however - NO STUDIO 3. Why have a 1,2,4,5 and no 3?

oh be quiet you prat.

Remember when we weren't allowed to mention the names of the BBC studios in case Bin Laden blew them up.

Oh those were the days.

It wasn't Mr Bin Laden it was Mr (and Mrs) Real IRA... And something did blow up - and it caused rather a lot of damage.

Some of us heard it go off...

(It is worth remembering that people were injured in that attack - and many more could have been. Not mentioning studo locations isn't being paranoid - it is being sensible as far as I'm concerned)

I think the more important point is that if ANYONE wants to know where the Channel 4 news studio is a little bit sad. Is it going to affect how you watch the programme...how Jon Snow sits or make you more forgiving of technical problems.

We're all here to be a bit sad and talk about TV...but surely getting inside this far is a little bit silly.

It'd be like me asking where noggin sits?..actually where DO you sit noggin!? Laughing

I've to be quiet for asking a question - in turn being called a twit and now a prat for it.
