Israeli PM 'Seriously' ill

So, Sky News are continuing with uninterrupted coverage, BBC News 24 are with BBC World in simulcast I'm assuming.

Can anyone get access to the internationals to see how they are covering the story?? CNN Int'l, CNBC Europe, Fox News??

Sky News continue with rolling coverage with the same team that have been on air all evening.

News 24 are with BBC World, a double headed bulletin from Washington and London.

Midnight GMT - Justin Webb in Washington, Nik Gowing in London (BBC World studio) - presumably being simulcast on World and N24.

And if I'm not mistaken BBC America or that might have already been done come to think of it.

After 2 and a half hours, Sky news have resumed advert breaks! Mind you, that is a lot of talking for the presenters to deal with!

For some reason the sound quality from the Washington studio was pretty poor. Sounded close to telephone quality, I thought they had a permanent broadcast quality link to there.

Sky News now reporting that he is ''gravely ill''.

BBC News reporting that he is 'Fighting for his life'.

I may be cynical at times about the news media, but I do get the feeling that they know about events sometimes a long time before they report them.

I know that very often there are news embargoes on stories, but still.....

EDIT: Sky News have just gone into the top of the hour at 3 minutes to the hour???

Both BBC News and Sky News seem to have resumed a pretty much normal service, no breaking news straps on either channel.

Different story over on CNN International however, Johnathan Mann anchoring from Atlanta. Normally CNN Today from Hong Kong would be airing;

Sharon is just out of surgery. Is there any reports on that from News 24?

There is no News 24 as such between 6am and 9am, but Breakfast had the hospital director's statement to the press live at about 7:25am.

Will Caroline Hawley turn up for this story? I'd imagine she's spending a long time on a nice beach somewhere, after three years in Iraq, but she might just be around Jerusalem preparing to move there. Or might Orla Guerin return from Johannesburg? It hasn't come at the best of times, if they want a really well-known face there, say for the terrestrial news.
