I feel the same, but this is the broadcaster that planned to go interactive, widescreen and multichannel in 2002. The furthest they got was placing RTE on the Sky EPG in 2003, with widescreen following in 2005 and possibly one more channel (half owned by Eircom) when DTT is introduced.

Given the names of the proposed channels, I think we're better off without them. RTÉ Ireland Today (yawn), RTÉ Eolais (BBC Parliament with a splash of CBBC) and RTÉ ZapTV (The Den + MTV + a pathetic name)
