Oooh are they being a bit clever in how they're doing things this morning - when Ben Brown in Barcelona finished he said 'back to you in the Studio' and in the UK we got Joanna Gosling in Studio B. Is the handover generic so both the NC and World can go to their respective presenters and do their own separate 'in other news' bits? If so, this is probably the first time the UK has seen Studio B doing a UK-only BBC News bulletin, whenever they've used it before it would have been because of a World simulcast?
Kay is actually in America to cover the Solar Eclipse. I'm sure another senior presenter is on their way to Barcelona though so Jonathan isn't anchoring round the clock.

Looks like it will be Stephen Dixon, on air at 17:00 and 19:00 according to his twitter feed.
Ok. So a 'behind the screen' question.
When, at around 4.10 yesterday the news wires started clattering, and newsroom monitors were retuned to TVE24, to show this wasn't some accident - was it someone's job to hit the websites to book several seats on the first flight to Barcelona and hotel rooms?
Or do broadcasters have special deals with airlines and hotel chains where it takes one call, say the destination, and everything is booked in double quick time to get the 'boots on the ground' faster than you or I would be able to make a group booking?
