By the way, was the set designed in France? It certainly looks that way, with its large, French-style mics.

Compare it to, say, France's i-Télé:

Well I think the women for news and editions are native.

The female presenter is Lucy Aharish. She is pretty famous in Israel as she's an Arab-Israeli. To be honest, it makes little sense to me that she's presenting the English edition. The Arab service isn't fully functional yet, so it may well be that she'll cross over to there. I must admit, I was pretty shocked at her poor command of English. It made her ad-libs very awkward!

But the news anchorwoman MEREDITH... is presenting really well.

Still so far lots of typing errors in ticker and straps.

Just a great blooper, the culture team didn´t notice that they were on air during the break, we saw the staff manager and presenter talking to the gallery and rehearsing reports. Now they seem to have severe technical issues. They are currently showing and endless promo loop.

Is there any reason why this website has a real time tracker encoded in it without logging in? Shocked

I am seeing now at the bottom of the site; it tells you exactly where you are with details of your location & weather forecast without having to log into the site.

It told me that my physical location was in Dublin, Ireland. The weather says it is sunny with a temperature of 22.8 degrees Celsius.

To me; that site has the same type of technology as like owning an iPhone 5. That is scary.

I don't know about news sites, but this is common practice for weather-oriented sites.

For instance, I'm currently in Slovenia, and when I go to http://www.accuweather.com/ -- one of the more well-established weather information providers -- I get not just a customized weather forecast for Slovenia, but also the current conditions for towns in my part of Slovenia -- all without logging on. It's all based on my IP address.

Don´t they notice the ticker they have?? Nearly every information in the background picture is totally overlapped by the ticker which makes it impossible to read anything.
