He's done weather cover for Westcountry too.

He was also a regular on GMTV in their very early days, although I cannot imagine him as a Weather presenter.

But saying that I've got used to Andy Crane (ex-CBBC now Channel M) as a Newsreader.

There are, of course, other regional weather presenters/forecasters who have a background in kids TV - Diane Oxberry at BBC NorthWest.

And I guess there's Becky Jago who did it the other way round.

It would seem that Simon Parkin now does Saturday Breakfast on BBC Somerset Sound - http://www.bbc.co.uk/somerset/local_radio/presenters_and_reporters/simon_parkin_feature.shtml - he was on Real Radio Wales until recently.

He used to present Meridian's three minute listings programme too. Oh and worked in McDonalds at one point

I hope he still doesn't have that hideous hair-do !!

He was my least favourite Broom Cupboard presenter behind Philip Schofield and Andy Crane.

Watched his forecast. Hes got an annoying voice that is a cross between a local radio DJ and that talking telephone on the Lombard Direct ads, 'Hello!!'

Ive seen him do the weather a few times on Westcountry. He is ok I suppose. The usual presenter is on maturnity leave, is she back now then?

Philip Schofield was good, my fave was Andi though.

I had a read of the Viewers Duty Log comments on the ITV intranet site. A lot of negative comments about the recent changes. Mainly:

Central South viewers missing Hannah and weather presenters Charlie and Emma.

A Meridian West viewer didn't like Wesley. She said he mumbled too much!

Viewers in Cirencester saying they are ignored by both ITV West and Central West.

A Central South viewer refusing to watch ITV West News because it is not of the same standard as Central South. Doesnt like Lisa Aziz because she kept moving and clicking a pen throughout the programme!!

Others saying ITV West is too Bristol biased,.

I would say that at least 80% of the comments were from digital viewers complaining they are receiving the wrong news programme on Sky.

There were a couple of positive comments, but obviously people dont often ring in with praise.
