All TV3 channels are showing a caption, even during commercial breaks mentioning closures in the Irish Republic to all public service places. They also ask viewers to tune into Ireland AM at 7am.

Does RTE have regions? Will be interesting if coverage will be at a network level or regional.

No regions. What you see is what you get no matter where you are.

Ireland is purely networked, basically.

As well as the strap on BBC One NI they used a strange non branded caption in the next junction. BBC Two NI did this

Nothing from UTV that I saw.

Point of order, when it hits Ireland it'll be a storm, not a hurricane. Glad to see whoever typed out that caption has got it right.

BBC One NI have had a red ticker running alongside the BBC Breakfast clock since 7.30am, giving general information on school/college closures and directing towards Radio Ulster/Foyle, next Newsline bulletin.

Is the ticker in HD ? I noticed on a recent visit to Ireland, the 'BBC Newsline' DOG seemed to be HD, while the programme itself was upscaled SD

Yes - ticker is in HD. Only appearing between Newsline bulletins, and not during.

RTE One carrying RTE News Now (which in turn is simulcasting RTE Radio 1 with a camera in the studio) at present.
