Just a friendly reminder that - whilst far from the most important thing right now - if you do witness an important / newsworthy situation please turn your phone round and film it landscape! Why not video that way all the time, then you’ll be in good practice!

(As this is the internet I should point out that comment is with tongue somewhat in cheek. Did almost put part of it in caps though!)

LOL. I always think that when I turn the news channels on for breaking news like this but never say it because it's wildly inappropriate and the last thing they're thinking of when recording footage. But I think you're saying what a lot of us, on here at least, are thinking.

Hmmm.. Sky showing live armed officers outside. Hope gunman can't receive Sky news from inside, they're giving the officers positions away!

We aren’t in an America but that doesn’t mean there aren’t ways people can’t get guns.

I take it you’ve seen the Tracey Ulman sketch?

The BBC News channel initially kept showing a map that showed Nuneaton's position in relation to Birmingham only.

Speaking as someone who originally hails from Warwickshire, I would suggest that its proximity to Coventry would seem a damn sight more relevant to locals than its proximity to Brum.

Thankfully, they have now revised the map to also label Coventry.

Position to Birmingham might be more relevant to a national audience what with it being the second city and all.

A couple of issues on Midlands Today, Shefali was left waiting for an eyewitness report that had been played on the national bulletin, and then a long delay with the live reporter who had also just been on the national bulletin.

A few people getting West Midlands and Warwickshire mixed up. It's in the county of Warwickshire in the West Midlands region, the area is covered by Warkwickshire police, but it's West Midlands Ambulance Service as they are regional.
