As I have been saying for years, broadcasting on terrestrial is a privilege, and ITV should be made to realise that. Fine, if they want to cancel "loss-making" parts of their broadcasting, and not have any public service remit, then there is no problem with that.

All they have to do is move off onto satellite/cable only, and see how they fare then. I'm sure there are plenty of companies more than willing to take their slot and pay their dues.

I think it's the Daily Mail. Enough said.

In comparison to the others, I find the Mail to be quite a reliable paper.

It's the biggest load of nonsense ever.
I haven't glanced at that paper again since my school was front page news about fiver years ago (on the Scottish version at least). The story concerned one pupil out of over a thousand, who was sending hate letters to a teacher. (Note: that's less that 0.1% of the school population).

The mail front page headline? "LESSONS IN TERROR AT SCHOOL OF HATE". Absolute b.ollocks

A more closely related story was from about the same time when the paper declared the BBC was scrapping all news from analogue channels within weeks. That was around the launch of N24.
