Never mind sodin' 'arry.

Has anybody any clue what time the next programme, after News at Ten and the Wales News, on ITV Wales is starting, as I want to record it?

This weeks episode of Your Channel is being shown next Thursday instead Mr Harvey. ITV Wales went straight to their 11.05pm program (Sharp End) unlike the network which axed Echo Beach and just showed Moving Wallpaper before the regional program afterwards.

I thinK ITV were right to extend News At 10 on this occasion as otherwise we would have got no other news, just the main story for half an hour.

Mediaguardian ratings here :
http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2008/feb/29/tvratings

News at Ten for an hour on ITV1 got 2.3 million and 13% share
Ten O'Clock News (slightly extended) on BBC One got 5.4 million and a 29% share.

Looking at the hour long News at Ten in more detail, than is available in Mediaguardian, it started at 2.8 million for the first 15 mins and dropped to 1.9 million for the last 15 mins.

The Six O'Clock News on BBC One got 4.7 million and 25% share 1800-1830.
The ITV Evenging News on ITV1 got 4.3 million and 21% share 1830-1900.

It appears Mark Austin and the ITV News team were in Kabul by coincidence

They were there to film a special series of reports next week. Meanwhile the BBC's correspondent was on holiday.

The timing may have been a coincidence, but considering ITV News knew Harry was out there, I suspect that influenced the decision to go out and film a series of special reports.

Mmmmm. I suppose now we have to suffer McCann-esque stalking of him all the way back home, and for the next few days.

Please - give us some proper news Shocked

If I want to see planes landing I'll go and sit at the end of the airport runway!

My suggestion today would be to watch al Jazeera. 12pm lead with this rather than Prince Harry.

Indeed, now watching the 1pm report. Not a "Wills, Chas or Harry" in sight!

News24 need to sort out their priorities about what constitutes "news".

I was also unhappy that I ended up recording 30 minutes that would send a plane-spotter into a frenzy instead of this week's Click earlier on. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Isn't there a BBC promo which says the BBC is the only news organisation to have correspondents based in (and then recites a ridiculously long list). If so, what happened to their Kabul based correspondent? Should Ofcom be notified of a misleading promo??

Yes there is a promo, but unfortunately for them Alistair Leithead, their Kabul correspondent, was on holiday this week. After the story broke Damian Grammaticus was flown in to cover.

Why does that Rolf Harris King of Caratacus song always pop into my head when his name is mentioned. Confused
