Is she back with the BBC, Nicky?

I thought she quit after the war to go and marry a yank ( well, if you believe the Sunday tabloids she did).

And I certainly haven't seen or heard her on screen for quite a while.

Jane lives in America - she's just one of the many freelancers that the BBC can call on - just like Laura T these days. They pop up every now and then ... and it means staff people like Jeremy Cooke can be sent to places like Haiti knowing there is sufficient cover in New York.

Well officially Susannah Price is UN correspondent, but Laura is the first choice freelance for the UN. She was probably called that on BBC News 24/World rather than on the Nationals.
