I hope they don't have images as the closing sequence all the time, I would much prefer a closing shot of the studio. The music is quite funny though!

At first I was somewhat dubious about them creating 2 studios with an identical format, but having now seen all the programmes I am impressed.

Apart from people like "us" who know that all these programmes are coming from either N6 or TC7, the general viewing public probably can't tell. TC7 is quite creatively re-dressed (especially for the PS and SundayAM). (edited) Embarassed

The investment in creating these 2 sets was undoubtedly large, but this will soon be off-set by the savings in not having to constantly dress and strike entire sets numerous times a day. They can also be changed to reflect a new image/format for a programme at minimal cost in the future.

I'm sure N6 and TC7 will serve their purpose well up until the move to Broadcasting House in 2009/2010.

By H&E do you mean Heaven and Earth? If so, that programme comes from Manchester and has nothing to do with BBC News.

Err - if by H&E you mean Heaven and Earth - then they've been very creative - managing to move the studio to Manchester in the junction between Sunday AM and Heaven and Earth (which actually comes from Manchester - Granada / 3Sixty Studios since Gloria took over)

Apologies Rolling Eyes Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed to both "Breakfast News" and "noggin"........I was mistaken in believeing that H&E came from TC7. I remember some talk of H&E on this thread, so I looked at the programme and made comments accordingly. Obviously it's impossible to re-dress a set in the junction between SundayAM and H&E.

My statement about all the others stands though.

I will hide in the corner until forgiven for my ignorance Embarassed
(EDITED to try to further explain ignorance)

Another EDIT (since no one else has posted):
Are NEWSNIGHT taking the pi$$ now with their music? Tonight we had a central american ramaba?? version. Also got a clip of the failure to get the link to Martha to work......

I love the new Newsnight set - fits in perfectly with BBC News. I think the regions should adopt the look.

Because the Newsnight, Newsround, Working Lunch studio isn't crewed on Saturdays. Previously Sportsround came from the same studio / gallery that used to do Nelly Nut and the follow up (Bear and Bee?)

You may have noticed the wideshot at the end of the 1200 BBC One news summary was a little tighter than usual, to avoid seeing the Sportsround bits...

Of course the easiest way to tell which studio anything is coming from is the colour of the floor!
Arrow Grey floor = N6
Arrow Black floor = TC7

It's nice to see them making very good use of the facilities though.

I note that here on BBC World, HardTalk and Have Your Say are also coming from the new generic nationals set.

The new look and layout suits both programmes actually.
