Does sound more dramatic and authoritative. Can't wait to see the new titles Laughing

I never watch NewsRound, but the new look is really nice. Much better than the 1, 6, 10 and Breakfast put together!

So have they gone for two identical sets because they like them so much - or are so afraid one will fail they'll have another for back-up!

Also, any plans for News 24 to get a set in the same style - and what about the regions? They've only just finished getting sets to match the old BBC set!

The new sets have been introduced to reduce the large amount of setting and striking of scenery that previously took place in the large studio, and to allow Breakfast to move to the Nationals studio and still have a different look.

By using screens, and just varying the furniture, they are able to reduce the number of people needed to re-set the studio and save money. It is all part of teh "Value for Money" savings that every bit of the BBC is having to make - though this one has required quite a lot of money to be spent initially.

So is that the end of the GREAT BIG NEWS STUDIO SHUFFLE? Is there still more to come?

I am a teeny wee bit disappointed that N6 and TC7 have ended up being basically the same, but at least we've seen they can be versatile with it - it's amazing what a change of shots and furniture can do.

The closing shot of Working Lunch looked absolutely cracking - though a colleague who was watching it with me bemoaned the loss of the goldflsh bowl!
