I haven't seen either programme yet, but is the bit behind the smoked screen to the right of this pic the Sunday AM set?

O why does Breakfast not raid this studio one mornign and use it instead!

Because you wouldn't know the difference if you pressed (1) and (3) on your remote control.

Yep - and they look almost identical I'm afraid. Also they are on different channels and are regional or macro-regional shows.

Most cunning Must be a huge time saver with both programmes going out within a few hours.

I was worried that each set would look a little bit too similar. You can clearly tell that Breakfast uses the same floor space as the Nationals, which is fine and works well. But I'm glad other programmes such as Sunday AM and Newsround, despite coming from the same studio, following the design on N6, do differ greatly in appearance.

The new sets for this side of programming shows that they are in fact rather versatile - you just need to have a bit of creativity. And is it me or are the screens installed much better - joins and so on aren't particularly visible even on light backgrounds.

And I must say I'm liking the lovely remix of the Newsnight theme - very grand!
