Interesting to see N6 now being used for Newswatch. It looks rather good with the dark red background.

Edit: ...and there's a feature about the new set including some footage of ITN's Theatre Of NEEWS in it's natural green state.

Is Newswatch shown again on N24 over the weekend? I always keep missing it and it's a good programme.

I wish newswatch had an interactive thing were you could smack the moaning viewers in the face. All they do is moan about every single little thing. Urgh

I'm not surprised most of you don't like the Breakfast set. I work in the studio and I haven't found a positive comment yet from staff. ( Apart from management ) Even Sian hates it and is fed up trundling about from desk to sofa. The floor is lifting up after 4 days and the set looks grubby.

I quite like the semi formal informal set but with regards to sian I do have concerns about her moving from desk to desk and tripping - you can see the wires under the carpet and the step from the desk to the sofa aswell - not really good for someone in her condition - only takes a stumble and she'll hurt herself - not too bothered about Dermot tripping Twisted Evil Enjoyed seeing them both put in a full week - don't think Friday should have different presenters unless they are the ones doing the weekend aswell, as a viewer i do like to see the same faces and when they swop and change i don't like it. Sian & Dermot are a great team tho Laughing

What carpet? I didn't notice any Shocked (unless there is some on the desk platform, but I can't tell that it's carpet)

I agree, I like Sian and hope she carries on as long as she can before Maternity Leave. Surely they can make Dermot do all the bulletins from the desk and just leave her on the sofa? (or would that hurt his professional pride? Confused )
It's not really fair in her condition to have her running about, obviously nobody did a proper risk assessment when designing the new set.

I'd like a 'Press to stop Ray Noddy's head moving about so much' service... or maybe just a 'Press for a better presenter' feature.

When will the first Hardtalk from the new N6 be going out? The old set has lived on for the last week at least. Hardtalk was the only time that set ever looked half decent, so I guess it's good that's the last way it will ever be seen on screen.

Oh yes! Perhaps you could do that thing (like when Stephen Fry nominated 'Room 101' to go into Room 101) - just write in and complain to Ray Noddy about himself. Then he'll have to interview himself with clips of himself and explode.

But then they'll get in Hugh Pym or someone and we'll be back to sqaure one.

I've only just seen this thread now! Embarassed

IMO, I like the new set, however the breakfast desk the borders around it make it look like they are going to be baked, the new studio is certainly flexible, the graphics are nice however not the best, it sort of reminds me of the Virtural era, the background deffo needs sorting out.

One question I have is, if BBC World getting a new look or is it staying with the old set?
