The end of the new BBC News titles reminds me of the "gun barrel" shot at the beginning of a James Bond film, for some odd reason. Apart from that, not that different from the old. Studio is nice, though standing up seems a bit "un-BBC like", if I can express it like that, for me...

I am saddened that the rippons and swirls were not ditched.

Angela Rippon left the BBC some years ago and was last seen on the ITV News Channel.

Very funny Laughing Laughing I really need to work on my spelling Embarassed
However, I am saddened that there is not a fresher theme for the revamp. It is just an adaptation of other news shows.
They did the same at the last relaunch and it took some time before they went with the RIBBONS Wink and swirls.
Perhaps we'll have the same again? Here's hoping.

Yes and sometimes even bigger. I belive the Newsnight relaunch is very soon, otherwise there wouldn't be a section for it on the Newsnight site.

the tour of the CSO set for the local elections of the website is rather amusing. Especially the man with the cloth over him

I agree that the 10 looks the best, didn't notice the twinkling lights until today. However it just seems like a rectangular version of ITV News which is what Media Guardian's article said today.

I think the desk is too small and why all the standing? I don't think I'd mind if Alagiah and Kaplinsky didn't 'gesture with their hands so much! That really irritates me.
