*THAT'S* N6? Where did all that space come from?

It's all done with mirrors

There are no mirrors on the new set - that's N6!

How does the huge screen work Nicky?

Will the sofa still be there during the nationals?

That screen looks like it's at a bit of an odd angle, Sian is having to strain her neck to look up at it.

Will they be making better use of the studio in the other bulletins, it would be a shame to be crammed into that small corner.

I wouldn't be surprised if the desk area is moved into the middle fo the floor or something like that. I can't see them working just in that small area on the main BBC1 bulletins, or having a sofa in view.

Not sure about the cloudy background. The way it looks like it's made up of lots of squares of cardboard just looks a bit, well...naff I think, it'd be alright if the square effect wasn't there.

Anyway, more captures and video here:

Presumably so that they can kick the sofa out of the way for the Nationals and use the new "newswall" for story presentations in the same way that they often used to do for the Six without having to worry about working around a centrally-positioned desk.

Incidentally, there's a couple of graphics anomalies that I've not yet seen mentioned. One is that the LIVE bug and clock don't line up quite perfectly any more; another is the strange little red block to the right of the clock. What's that about?

It's a shame that all the standard Breakfast shots are in the corners of the screens, where the picture doesn't match up or seem to look very good.

they've just shown a rehershal of all the bulletins (where they were trying the sofa in every part of the studio) and it would appear they've taken the current titles for the 1 / 6 /10 and put them through the *FAB* filter.

BBC news 1,6 &10 are getting new titles. they have been briefly shown on the new look breakfast when sian did a mini tour.
