It will be interesting to see the new set and I am looking forward to 06.00 on Tuesday to see it.
I wonder what colour the new set will be based on and also whether or not the CSO daytime background will be used for the One, Six and Ten.
I would anticipate new titles for the rebrand.
Out of interest how do we no that the earlier picture of construction in the studio was actually of N6? It could quite easily be a red herring after there was a fair few people grumbling at the insiders for not revealing any more.

It certainly looks like N6 from what I remember of the webcast they did about Huw Edwards' day at work. I suppose it could be any studio, but I tend to trust the integrity of those forumers who do have inside knowledge.

The picture isn't giving much away, but obviously it's of interest to those of us who like to see things like that. After the revelations on Tuesday it would be nice if we could have a simlar shot of the completed set Very Happy

Actually the 1999 look was launched with the One and it was Anna Ford that presented it

Ah, thanks. I was going on the promotions that rts mentions there, which were for Six.

Does anyone know if the rebrand of the Nationals [especially if there is a "colour" change] will be expected to cascade down to the regionals as before?

Who took the picture anyway and when? And could they get more Wink !!

That picture is available to anyone in the BBC if they know where to look on the intranet.

That's right. Promotions in the lead up to the relaunch used titles for the Six though. The promotion they ran can be seen here, from The Tv Room.

Yep - that was because the Six was re-launching as a programme with a new format (going from a single presenter to two presenters) - rather than just getting a lick of paint. (i.e. a new set)

I think you have to think evolution rather than revolution when it comes to everything to do with the new studio. Also remember the nationals studio is actually bigger than you think ... as noggin as mentioned in the past a lot of it was taken up by the projectors etc with the old set so I think you'll be surprised at the size of the studio - hence why Breakfast and the main bulletins can come from the same place and look different. MediaBoy has mentioned some things - and yes I've heard the new Breakfast music - again think evolution rather than revolution, although I wouldn't say that when it comes to the titles for Breakfast Wink

I remember ages ago one poster said he/she had rang up some BBC News office wondering whether the titles would incorporate England more. The poster then said the woman replied "We are looking into it" or something, maybe it means the titles will have more view on England . Bearing in mind this was about a year ago now!

England? England? Has the Union, unbeknownst to me, crumbled? Wouldn't the BRITISH Broadcasting Corporation's news programmes be slightly unrepresentative having images of just England on its titles? Tsk tsk!

NickyS, you've put the idea of lots of cups of tea, slices of toast, and other such morning things in my mind now for the Breakfast titles... Out of intrest are they keeping the name "Breakfast"?

Actually I know what I'm thinking off..
