Hopefully on Friday morning we might get a clue as to what the new Breakfast set is like, and maybe an indication of the new National News too.

I thought that Breakfast were going to share the same set as the 1,6 and 10, so they will be one and the same.

Well yes. And no.

Was I wrong in believing that both Breakfast and the National News would be sharing the same set? Perhaps Breakfast will make use of the main desk (especially now the main presenters will be reading summaries) and a soft area of the same set? It would certainly make sense, rather than having two seperate sets, especially in the limited space in the studio.

Perhaps I have jumped to the wrong conclusion, but I just thought they would be sharing the same studio, but using a different part - abit like Newsnight and Newsnight Review (if you know what I mean).

I think Breakfast will use the main National set for reading the news, with a smaller soft set area for other parts of the programme, similar to what they have been doing over the past couple of weeks.

But with Moira departing, the implication is that there won't be separate news bulletins anymore... although I suppose they could use the desk for the earlier, newsier parts of the programme, and the sofa later on. All will no doubt be revealed.

Don't forget when 'Breakfast' first started with Sophie, Jeremy, Moira & Tanya they had several different areas to use. For me, that was the best era by far... Bring back Tanya Beckett!

I think some people may be a little disappointed with the new nationals set.

Think alongs the lines of what Tony Hare's philosophy was when he was lunching with Alan Partridge, not babies and bathwater.

Ofcourse it depends on what people are expecting but I've been quite impressed with certain elements of it.
