To repeat what I put on social media earlier in hindsight it was probably a good idea to remove the floating map from the Albert Dock.

They removed it in 2004, as it hadn't been used for a few years and was looking tatty anyway. Or had they reinstated it for the anniversary programme a few years ago? (where I think Keith Lemon did the honours). Was it still there until recently?

Pretty certain it's not there.

They installed a smaller version of the map for the 25th anniversary. I guess it was only there for a few days.

Krysia Kaye who worked for Granada News in the 1990s has died.

I never got to meet Krysia but we were friends on Facebook and were chatting about the move to mediacityuk.

Unless I have missed something but there has been no mention of this on Granada Reports and she used to present the GMTV bulletins.

The whole of tonight's Granada Reports was devoted to a live OB from Liverpool, with an election debate featuring local politicians. A pretty difficult challenge to make it work considering the time constraint, but great to see them trying something like this again - reminiscent of the days of Lucy Meacock presenting Granada Up Front.

The whole programme is here: http://www.itv.com/news/granada/story/2015-04-07/granada-reports-election-2015-live-debate/

Does Granada Reports have any regional variations of the show?

Nope just one programme with no regional variation. The Isle of Man is now also part of the Granada region when they took over from Border in July 2009.

They did have a specific Isle Of Man website only for a short while that appeared to be a one man operation, as they do have one permanently based reporter on the Island, however it rarely gets referenced on the main programme.

No Granada Reports tonight due to 'technical problems' - we've got Calendar instead.

So, instead of the completely wrong region on HD for me, it's now just slightly wrong.
