Likewise, no disrespect to Roger, I'm sure he's a good journalist and all, but I haven't really warmed to him, but I think he's better now unlike when he started.

But it looked equally bad when it was light.

It was described as looking like the foyer of a Premier Inn. I just don't see the point in making it obvious that you're presenting from converted space on the 10th floor of an office block, with a pointless view as your backdrop.

It's not clever, it just comes across as being cheap, lazy and unimaginative.

The only time these sort of views work, are for temporary studios in specific locations - such as on College Green, at Wimbledon, or the excellent ones used for the Olympics/Paralympics.

Well that studio worked just fine for LNN for all those years.

LNN had a much more limited range of shots (presenter, wide, guest, sport pres?) which they worked really hard on, and were able to carefully frame for the darker months. They did an excellent job of making the view look as good as it did. (I think St Pauls was lit during their transmission hours as well - which helped)

From my point of view I think it is all down to Annabel Tiffin as to why Roger has warmed with viewers. Ranvir and Roger was just wasn't working and to be honest I had never warmed to Ranvir, since she started the dual anchor with Gordon! I was glad to see the back of Ranvir when she jumped ship to "bigger" things at ITV Breakfast!

According to her Twitter, it's Jo Blythe's last day for a while today as she's going on maternity leave, so prepare to have a fair few faces present the weather for a few months.

I wonder if they are waiting to the outcome of what happens with Fred before they decide if there is going to be a new face joining the weather team? They have different faces at the moment and it has been like that for the last eighteen months.

To be honest I have a feeling that even if he was cleared of the charges he probably still wouldn't return to the programme.

If I think if he is innocent I doubt he'd return full time to the programme, at most reporting on silly stories like he used to before he came back to the weather presenter job in 2009.

I was watching the Sunday afternoon update and the newsreader said "We're back tomorrow morning in Daybrea" then started to laugh and said "Good Morning Britain" Very Happy

I agree as I was in the same mind of thinking too. The job he did which involved going round the region was very good and even if found not guilty it would be difficult going back to it; as some people are not as nice as others and he could be under pressure that people would accuse him of things.

Maybe he could still do Where's Fred but show the ones already recorded for a while before recording new ones.

Which presenter was that?
