Looks as if Claire's handbag is in view beside the desk on Granada Reports tonight

Claire made a bit of a mistake then - she handed over to Nina instead of katie for the headlines.

Tony quickly corrected her by saying " Nina's changed. Wasn't the woman she was."

Last night and tonight, Tony Marris is reading the late news, this is something not usually done, I know Rob Smith had a go last week too, is this a new arrangement for the senior male anchor to read the late news?

Seems strange having Tony present the late Granada News. I know that Claire presented the Lunchtime News yesterday. So it could be that Granada are sharing out the presenting role between both presenters as in :

female = lunchtime
male/female = evening
male = late

Granada, maybe have become the latest victim of the downturn, axing the late news presenters.

Does Jo do the weather live now or is it still recorded and they make her go into the studio each night for a pointless minute long introduction?

Keri Eldridge is presenting Granada Reports tonight with Tony and I presume she will present the rest of the week aswell, as the EPG has Lucy down for the nationals for the rest of the week and weekend.

Good to see Lucy joining in last night with Fred saying "And what have we got for tonight well...", it's like Granada Tonight during the 90's over again!

Might be recorded but would have been recorded in the same studio. I think most regions record the weather anyway.

is it just me or does Keri Eldridge always look like she fancies Tony - I know that your sometimes supposed to look at your collegue, but she just stares at him for ages on some occasions!
