Yeah it's ok but I hope they get a new theme on Monday to match the main news, would have been good if they started with it tomorrow with Lucy and Tony but never mind.
I also I'm not a big fan of the titles, they could have been done a lot better and some new shots would have not hurt to go in them.

there seem to be a lot of nerw people aty granada now? Where has everyone gone?
Let's clear up a few things.
1 - Sarah Elliot took voluntary redundancy.
2 - The new people in the newsroom aren't cheaper, or freelance. People move on, and others replace them.
3 - The new look studio is designed to bring all ITV news output in line with ITV's banding. Its slogan, "The Brighter Side" must now be refelcted in the news. All changes have been decided upon at a management level in London. The music isn't changing, nor are the pictures for the titles.
4 - Granada covers all part of the region equally and fairly. If some do not like hearing about news regarding a city a few miles away, I suggest it refelcts more on their views and intolerancies. The Granada region was one of tv's first. It is referred to as "Granada Land." It was there before the BBC...we shall have to wait and see if it lasts haha!
On what authority have we that ITV Regional News Music isn't being changed ?, In a thread somwhere on TV Forum it was mentioned that the ITV National News Music was being remixed for the Local Programmes !

Sorry to be picky, but ITV News is 'bringing the facts to life' not 'the brighter side' which is ITV 1's slogan, not ITV's slogan.
Its slogan, "The Brighter Side" must now be reflected in the news.
This has to be one of the most ill-conceived channel slogans in history. How can gloomy idents and a predominantly black news studio represent this so called 'brighter side'?
It would have been like them using the 'TV from the Heart' slogan during the 2004 blocks/squares era.
Always makes me chuckle when there is someone posting on here that likes to make out they know the reasons for and what the changes forthcoming are or are not.
Can always spot them!

I also have it on good authority that there isn't going to be any new regional music. I don't know where Michael W is getting his information from.
Granada is NOT fair or equal to the cities in the region. Granada treat Liverpool and its people like garbage and with no respect and the treat manchester and its people like gods! No one can say they don't! Granada were investigated back in the 1990's over neglecting Liverpool and they cleaned there act up but now were going back to the 90's.
