Oh dear. That was unfortunate - does it take a long time to switch the postcode mapping over or was Sky forgotten about, I wonder?
I'm not sure how the mapping works, whether each viewing card needs to be accessed by over air signal, or (more likely) there's a look up table of PIDs that every card/box refers to determine Ch 101/102/103/104 etc mapping.
A couple of years ago C4 moved Oxfordshire from the Midlands macro region, to the South & East one.
Sky sent a letter to all Sky+ subscribers in the affected postcode areas warning them that any C4 recordings set would be lost, and require to be set again. It's likely if they didn't warn the IOM Sky+ subscribers, they too would have lost any Border ITV recording settings after Friday
On Sky, it took till Friday lunchtime before the island switched to Granada.
So Granada's big Manx launch was missed by the island's viewers who watch through Sky. Eighty-two per cent of homes in the island have satellite, so that was probably quite a lot.
