I noticed on the GMTV bulletins this morning that Granada have gone down the Tyne Tees & Border route with regards to their DOG, it's the 'NEWS' from the GMTV logo with a clock next to it and the word Granada above it, doesn't look too bad, and good to see a clock too.

Meridian has got this to. I assume every region has except fro London which has a clock.

Was Granada News off air at 10.30pm last night? I ask this as I walked past out local Wetherspoons which has Freeview and I could have sworn I saw Central Tonight being broadcast instead.

Hmm, Kerrie Gosney back on Granada Weather tonight, live from Quay Street garden. Good to see her back on this side of the Pennines.

Lucy Meacock is presenting from the studio on her own tonight - Tony Morris and Fred Talbot are on the Isle of Man, which has officially joined the Granada region today. The titles have changed - there's one quite lengthy shot of a ferry!!

Quite a large chunk of the bulletin was devoted to special items about the Isle of Man, and the top sports story was about Tour de France cyclist Mark Cavendish as well (this was the same on NWT, though they glossed over it in a matter of seconds).

The change should give them a few more places for the weekly "Where's Fred?" feature as well.

NWT did an OB from Cartmel Racecourse in Cumbria and a lengthy interview with someone about swine flu. Though the BBC programme isn't new to the Isle of Man, I don't think it would have harmed them to mention it a bit more today given that Granada devoted so much time to the island.

Any videos??

I've got some of it, though not the start - I'll record the new titles on the late bulletin and upload them tomorrow morning, as well as anything else that may be of interest.

Most of the programme was taken up with lengthy items about the island - here are some caps:
(If anyone wants a particular (short!) clip, PM me and I'll do my best.)

I wonder if anyone from ITV has thought to change the Sky and Freesat postcode EPG mapping from Border to Granada for the IOM ?

On Sky, it took till Friday lunchtime before the island switched to Granada.

So Granada's big Manx launch was missed by the island's viewers who watch through Sky. Eighty-two per cent of homes in the island have satellite, so that was probably quite a lot.

Oh dear. That was unfortunate - does it take a long time to switch the postcode mapping over or was Sky forgotten about, I wonder?
