God, ITV are being rather pathetic over that blokes murder and the conviction of those youths. They're practically calling for alcohol to be banned and every youth in the country to be sent to bootcamp.

Watching E4 before and I was thinking how they are reporting the situation of "hoodies" and "yobs" much more accurately in their spoof than ITV are in their main and Granadaland news programmes.

To be fair to Granada Reports they've covered the whole Story pretty well, but I do agree that to an extent they really blew the whole thing out of proportion. But if it's dominating alot of time on the National News and if it's getting noticed by the Government for a change in the Law or attitude, then it does need to be covered. I saw Wednesday's GR, it proved interesting viewing, but I didn't think that the whole programme should have been given to it, I didn't see much point of sending Ann O'Connor out to Cheshire in the United States.

I didn't see NWT's coverage of the story, but even Channel M are covering it, despite the fact that Warrington isn't in their patch, but they've taken quite a GR stance to it, questioning the influence of Alcohol in pratically every other sentence.

Sending Ann to Cheshire in America was pointless! Teenagers everywhere will drink, no matter what the rules are. The main focus should be in the UK not 9000 miles away.

ITV are blowing it out of proportion not just on ITV News, but on GMTV, Loose Women etc all saying that ALL teenage lads should be sent to do national service and ALL teenagers who drink kill someone.

Aside from that, they are covering it OK.
