I thought the same.
They should use people like Ann O'Connor & Trevor Green if Tony & Lucy are off.

I could not find the old thred so i will use this one. Anyway today it was done by Tony and Ann O'Conner which i thought was odd as normaly if Lucy is off Tony does it alone. I wonder if she is off with a cold as she did sound nasty on Monday.

Anthony Wilson was being interviewed on C4 News tonight, he's almost as rude as Jeremy Paxman. Is he going back to Granada Reports, or has he left completely ?
NW
He's left completely now, apparently it was to back the North West Goverment thing, but many guess that he left because of the swearing incident, which was a shame as he was a great newsreader and often took the mick out of North West Tonight and one Gordon Burns. Though I still believe the programme is going strong without him Tony Morris is great at his job and the new look in February made it better IMO.
But I was suprised to see Ann O'Connor help Tony tonight, as usually it is him on his own, but I'd rather have the 2 presenters as there's usually more chemistry between them. Tony Morris' jokes don't seem to be right when there's only him in the studio.

Damn it, I missed it tonight, I was working!
Though its not the first time it's happened, he has often said after the forecast that it was a bad forecast, because there was bad weather, he usually puts the blame on Jo Blythe.
I haven't watched GR on a Friday for some time now due to me working Friday evenings, but Lucy is usually off most Friday's anyway, she always seem to have alot of time off, though I take it she's Granada Reports' most valuable presenter, as she has been there the longest!

Ahh yes, 'A Brush with the Mersey', quite a good programme too really, they visited my town of Warrington, it explains why we didn't see Jo Blythe on Granada Weather for ages.
I can guarantee that The Afternoon Show next week will have a good chance of featuring: Eammon O'Neal, Jenny Powell, Dr Chris Steel, Simon Rimmer and Dave Spikey, as they're the only people they can get for that.
I thought Lunchtime Live was better, it was a regional This Morning, where as TAS is more of a mess about for team at ITV Granada as it's all made by the same people, plus LL used to go out at 1.00pm, which is better than 2.30pm!

Yea, Jo was doing a show today at 2.30 something about "Mersey" however i see The Afternoon Show is back next week but i still don't think it is as good as Lunch Time Live.

Does Alison Tarpey still appear on Granada Reports? If so, what does she do (present, political correspondent etc)
BS
Alison Tarpey went on to produce Granada Reports and occasionally do off-screen reports.
I saw her at the RTS Awards in Liverpool last year, she joined the team when they went up for an award.
I must admit, I haven't heard of her or seen her name at the end of Granada reports for wuite some time.
ON a similar level, Cerys Griffiths seems to have vanished. She hasn't been down as editor for at leats the last five weeks.

Alison Tarpey produced "A Brush With The Mersey", the programme presented by Jo Blythe mentioned above.
Cerys Griffiths is now working at North West Tonight.
