Also there will be a number of stories that will have been prepared the day before ready for the breakfast show especially items where the news release has an embargo placed upon it.
Also quite a few stories will come from the emergency services media lines - and so will be brief and will not always take long to write.
Does anyone have any captures of what STV or UTV's GMTV bulletins look like? Do they look like GMTV News?
You can see the latest GMTV News NI bulletin at www.macmillanmedia.co.uk (go to the bottom of the page).
Just had a quick look round umpteen pages of that site. Plenty of info
about
the GMTV NI (& Scotland) bulletins, but I see no obvious link to actually
watch
them?
When I click on the "Broadcast Centre" link, I get a "the webpage cannot be found" type of page.
So you missed that huge video player at the bottom of the screen ?
(Although in fairness, it's a virtually-black shade of grey, on an entirely black-backgrounded webpage...)
And I can't see or hear anything whenever I press the play button. It's just blank:
Don't start me on the Reporting Scotland v Scotland Today debate again.
Reporting Scotland is a tedious, press release/Scottish Executive-domianted, autopilot show which desperately tries to cover every single part of a massive geographical area and fails to cover any of it adequately.
STV may be rough and ready but does a far better job on a billionth of the budget, and at least SMG was willing to offer sub-opts - something the publicly funded BBC seems unable to do.
