Oops! This did go out on the Five I think, looks like the programme slug was attached to it.

I suspect the slug could have been masked by a breaking news graphic if it had been repeated in the interim.

I think the lower thirds were taken down as they obscured graphics in the package, which might be why they did a version with the News at Five slug burnt in.

Well, there is another problem with that date.

Quote:

Tens of thousands of religiously observant Jews will be unable to go to a polling station to vote on 14 October if a general election is called for that day, critics have warned.

The date slated for a proposed election clashes with the first day of Succot, a Jewish religious festival.

Observant Jews cannot vote on this day because activities associated with work - including writing - are banned on major festivals.

Number 10 has not yet commented.

Why not just do a postal vote then?

Apparently the election day will be the Tuesday to avoid the Jewish holiday

It wasn't burnt in - it remained on screen and animated off after the VT finished.

These bbc news graphics are far too big especially when there’s breaking news.

I've just seen John Bercow referred to as "Schoenberg cow" in the subtitles Laughing

(Hats off to the subtitlers though, they do do a fantastic job despite the odd hiccup)

So BBC News at Ten is on BBC One with the BBC World special with Christian Fraser on the NC.

I love the Breaking graphic on the top right of the push backs via the NC. It looks really good.

Is this the first time the BBC have started equipping presenters and guests with 'Madonna' mics (as I think someone here referred to them when BBC Weather began using them from the balcony in Broadcasting House) whilst at Westminster? Watching the headlines at Ten you could barely hear the crowd at all which makes a nice change!

I forgot to mention that Prime Time was back for a Brexit Special on RTÉ One tonight from Westminster. It had guests like Joey Jones, Fraser Myers, Anne McElvoy, Irish Finance Minister Paschal Donohue, Lucinda Creighton & Joanna Cherry an SNP MP from Edinburgh who had cast her vote tonight in the HoC. Here she is in this clip talking with Fraser Myers at Westminster.

So BBC News at Ten goes out at 5pm ET. It appears the World Special with Christian Fraser went out to everyone outside North American. The special appears to have ended at the BOTH and appear to crashed out midway through Christians closing to go to WNA.
