Big fan of the Britney-style headset microphones Sky News have given to Kay and her guests.

BBC News are also using them.

I think BBC News have only been using them since lunchtime, they certainly weren't for Breakfast, VD and Newsroom Live earlier, and the noise of the rabble was quite distracting.

In case anyone was wondering

Maybe they could overlay a breaking news caption similar to the one that appeared on an episode of Top Gear when Wimbledon moved to BBC Four:

Probably because the vote isn't due to start til 9:30/10:00-I'm surprised The Ten hasn't been extended to cover the result if it comes during The Ten.

Presumably one of the panes was meant to show Vicky Young who was reporting from the lobby.

Maybe he was waiting in case live feed to Huw during News at Five was lost

Yes but he still would have had time during the Six.

The BBC's Vicki Young has just appeared in the background on the ITV News chatting to MPs.

Christian Fraser has anchored a BBC News Special since 19:00 simulcast with World
I think the 20:00 hour is just on the News Channel however.

Ben Brown has been holding the fort at NBH, his voice popped up just before 20:00 to say Christian would be back in a few minutes (not sure what the point was really).

Votes expected between 21:30 and 22:00.

I think they will be just before or around 22:00 given the debate started before 19:00 and has a three hour limit.

Sounds like World have just joined Christian again at 20:18 as he stopped to say "you are watching BBC News" and paused before introducing his guest.
