Just a thought but looking at the recent history of BBC news visualisation up until 1982 we had a mainly red set of news titles, Those venetain blind whizzy things (we had a labour government) From then on during Maggies reign it was predominantly blue titles and set. From May 1999 everything went red (&cream) then very red. Yes I know labour got in in 97 but you have got to be subtle.
Anyone got any other good conspiracy theories?

That question rather implies that there's a good conspiracy theory to start off with.

Aha, so THATS who watches "The World" on BBC World and BBC4 - Respect Supporters!!

That would also explain the fact why "The World" only gets seventeen viewers per night - there are not many of us who can put up with that hideous set and colour scheme for much longer!!

(Excellent journalistic content though.........)

Damo, the colour scheme is a hideous misfit amongst the other BBC News standard schemes, don't you think? Otherwise, I love the programme. Think its great. Good journalists.

And following on from that point, the journalistic content really is let down by presentation and that really isn't a situation to be in particually with a programme which doesn't have a disposable audience.
I really can't urge enough for there to be changes in Pres. I mean, who thought green would work with the red/black and orange scheme already running. Simply doesn't work and compared with either the BBC Four News or BBC News (on World) it's so evident that pres does matter and more importantly when pres is right how effective and audience grabbing it can be. It's a shadow of its former self and something I really do hope is sorted and soon.
