I like both the themes. I doubt the Today theme will ever be changed dramaticaly. It was a couple of years ago, but it wasn't popular, and was soon changed back. There is actually a clip of that short - lived theme on Tv Ark.
God the whole of GMTV desperately needs new theme tunes, sets, graphics, presenters...the lot! While yes I can see that it appeals for a set audience and does feel 'warm' and 'comfortable', it is so unprofessional and dated next to the likes of BBC and Sky News, even with the fact that it is a less news-based programme. I watch it every morning but still...2005 guys!
However I agree about the graphics package, which I think looks quite cheap. But I like the rest, and the theme is brilliant.
Thats what i like about GMTV. It doesnt try to win you over with big flashy graphics and news walls and projectors etc. Its all about the people & guests on the show itself. I think thats what makes GMTV different, it doesn't follow the crowd so to speak.
