Shows the last time I listened to LBC in the morning! Who's the bulletin reader with Nick these days?

Simon Conway, from memory.

Not a big fan of fantasy schedules, but as an educated guess of a schedule.

6-10am Jim Diamond (Current LBC London News breakfast presenter)
10-1: Lisa Aziz (after she does her breakfast shift on LBC)
1-4: Ian Payne
4-7: Martin Stanford
7-midnight: Global's Newsroom journalists on rotation
Midnight: 6am: Either a loop of the 11pm news bulletin or another Global's Newsroom journalist on rotation with a lot of automation such as pre-recorded travel, weather and sport.

Based on the reports, it seems like output will be live 24/7. Whilst I'd be surprised to see some features done live overnight. I can't see them looping any news bulletins during the night.

I was a big fan of the Non-Stop Era when it was NEWSDIRECT 97.3 in the late 90s. When they tried to emulate 1010 WINS/WBBM 670/KNX 1070. I really liked the audio imaging that was used at the time. But again it was still chocked full of national news and only featured local weather and traffic. So they werent really local all-news radio stations persay.

If their signal only reached London, why didn't their news have a strong London focus (in addition to national/international news)?

Linking this back to TV, I wonder what the chances are of the station launching on Sky, Freesat, Virgin Media, and possibly Freeview.

I'd debate that the current LBC London News has a strong local focus. I put on the station this morning and the first story I heard was about multiple stabbings in Peckham Rye. Global's Newsroom journalists also do lives into the station from throughout the capital, which is no different to what WINS does in New York.

Sorry but I have to disagree. One crime story covered each hour...there is no comparison to the legacy all news stations like 1010 WINS, WBBM 780, CFTR 680 and KNX. But as a national/intl rolling news station, it does the job. So rebranding from a "London News" all news station to a national all news station, isnt going to be a big leap and it wont tax their resources because they arent really using any resources to cover London anyway. New audio imaging and new voices. Same content.

Just so you know, you can't access WINS, WBBM, or KNX in the EU.

Well then try CFTR Toronto and CKWX 1130 Vancouver are good comparisons of the rolling local news format used by the legacy all-news stations if you are curious.
