I have not seen Gillian Ni Cheallaigh on the joint overnight service with BBC News 24/BBC World for a long time. Is she still doing them? Is she still with the BBC?

Can anyone post an update?

Gillian is currently the British Affairs Correspondent for BBC World Service.

Thanks Nicky - do you know if she still does the odd stint on BBC News 24?

She was always very good... I recall when she was presenting on New Year's Eve (Hogmanay) through to New Year's Day a few years ago. She always wished viewers a "Happy New Year", something sadly very few of the other presenters have done... including Deborah Mackenzie this year!

Gillian did a saturday overnight about 6 weeks ago covering for Jake Lynch. I agree, lovely looking, lovely accent! Get her on more!
