Did Galloway stick to his promise then, or did he give an interview to ITN following his victory ?

Galloway Vs ITV news, then Galloway Vs Paxman, then Galloway Vs Emily Maitlis.... can he be interviewed without it turning into a row?

He was nice and friendly on GMTV, but that may have been due to Fiona being the interviewer

Galloway has now 'blacklisted' Paxman too, according to his campaign manager in the Sunday Herald:
Quote:
I had given the BBC the first opportunity to interview George after the count. It was a set-up, the second such of the campaign. The first had been in a lunchtime interview with ITN, sold to us as an opportunity for the party leader to expound his views. Sitting in the Green Room beforehand, George was minded to walk out when he heard the trail, describing him as an “admirer of Saddam Hussein”‚ and questioning whether he was fit to be in public life. The questioning was of the same flavour, a woman from Glasgow was even produced to heap ordure on him. Respect, of course, did not stand in Scotland. After that ITN went on the blacklist.

Rageh Omar was the BBC’s man at the count and the assumption was that he would do the interview. George was miked up and given an earpiece as Omar stood beside the camera. It then became clear that it was “Paxo” who would do the interviews.

George protested foul and false pretences – “I wouldn’t have done it if I had known it was you, Jeremy” and the notorious first question, about whether he felt shame about removing one of parliament’s few black women, set the tenor. He struggled to keep his temper in check .

Afterwards Omar sidled up to me and, sotto voce in my ear, said: “Jeremy went too far there. I’m sorry about that. Please give George my apologies.”

Aye, right! Paxman is now added to the blacklist. In perpetuity, like ITN.

Is there any journalist left in the country that Galloway hasn't fallen out with?

I may be misinterpreting your comment - but if you are suggesting that Al Jazeera supported Saddam's regime, then you are wrong. Al Jazeera is an independent television company based in Qatar, and has no links to the former Iraqi government
