Why do the media give this man airtime? making him out to be more important than he is!
Lets hope he sticks to his promise and stays away from ITN- Im sure the viewers will be relieved.

Notice he said ITN, so does that mean Channel 4 News as well then?!

i doubt it

The news networks can't be seen to be ignoring any party or individual candidates as it would appear impartial. That is why the views of the BNP have to be given at least some airtime. I know for a fact however that the BBC tries to allocate air time in accordance with the number of votes received at the last election.

As for the peson who stormed off, he must not be very good, if he cannot handle an interview. He must know what the media are like, its not Nick and Katies fault.
I would say that if you're suggesting that George Galloway doesn't know what the media are like, you need to have your head examined.

Just caught the end of his interview on Boulton - I wonder if his comments about Adam's marriage will make it to the repeat later tonight?

I didnt say he disnt know what they are like, I SAID he should know what they are like. GEEK.

Ok, I misread what you said. But you're still saying that Galloway's not very good at interviews - I'd say quite the opposite.

Yes, and another factor is the number of sitting politicians a party has. UKIP, Veritas and the Greens will get more airtime than other smaller parties (Respect, BNP etc) because they have members elected to the European Parliament and the regional assemblies.

An oddity of this is that despite only being around for a few months, Veritas has one MLA (London Assembly) and an MEPand therefore gets more coverage

Veritas actually has two members of the London Assembly.

By the way, the thread title is misleading, he didn't exactly storm off, he remained for the duration of the interview, for what it was worth.

I don't feel the thread title IS misleading.
He was itching to leave the interview and it appears that the interview was infact cut short. When Nic and Katie 'moved on' the close up shot was only there for a few seconds before cutting back away to show the empty chair which he had hastilly left in that short period. The normal time to leave a studio is when the next item is playing so they can leave the studio without making ANY noise, affecting the the presenters or the possibility of walking infront of any cameras. I assume he was supposed to leave in the advert break which followed!
It also appeared that the regional news began a little bit earlier than normal.

Also news outlets are also titling their stories as 'Galloway storms off....' - I hope they aren't copying my initial post! lol

Did any of the other news channels feature the interview as a news item?

They were actually elected as UKIP, but both defected when Mr Tangerine Man set up his Vanitas party.

Just an idea, but maybe if the BBC and Sky also make a concerted effort to pee off Galloway, he'll refuse to speak to any of them, and we won't have to see this ego-maniac on TV any more. Idea

Is there any journalist left in the country that Galloway hasn't fallen out with?
