I don't think you can infer that. Your average viewer is not going to say, "They didn't play those ballet dancers- how disrespectful!"!
Exactly. I'm not critising the play out of Tai Chi, indeed I think it was entirely suitable. I'm just saying it wasn't played out because it was felt not be to a time of national reflection.

Times of National Reflection is when Ballet dusted off. Obvisously felt not to be a time of national reflection.

I suppose you could get into the realms of what is and what isn't a time of national reflection, but my point is that even if it is/was a moment of national reflection, that doesn't mean that the Ballet symbol has to be played.
If I played the Tai Chi ident into Remembrance Sunday coverage for example, that doesn't mean I'm saying "this isn't a moment of national reflection" - which it clearly would be.
Equally with George, I would personally class it as high up the list of moments of reflection but again, I wouldn't necessarily play the Ballet sym as a result.

I suppose I only made the point from a pres point of view, it's very rare we see ballet (indeed we've only seen it this year between the Pope's death and funeral) I just think that they should make more use of it and that occasions such as Remebrance Sunday and funerals/memorial services (such as the one for the London bombings) would be the most appropriate occasions for them to do so. I'm not saying they should have to play ballet, merely that it would be a good opportunity for them to do so and for us to see it.

I came back from Stormont and checked to see I had recorded the programme OK - I'm never sure until I see that I have done - and was surprised not to see 'Skateboarders', it would have been so fitting in all sorts of ways, but it's hardly important in the scheme of things.
From what I have seen, both BBC NI and Ulster Television, as well as the national news networks and radio (with the exception of Stephen Nolan oikishly trying to be the controversial centre of attention on Five Live's coverage) did very well, just as the Ulster public and those from further afield did their most famous son proud on a poignant day.

I don't believe that Best was a 'wonderful man'. He drunk himself to death- so I don't think it's fair to go on about how great he was, or to go on about his death constantly.

Are you the same one whose just been banned from Mocks?
Yeah, it's strange; over at Mocks he is 'Banned', yet here he is free to post. RTP must not be working properly then...

Or, has he just been banned from the Mocks section? I seem to remember a certain member only been banned from one section before. Out of interest did he annoy Nini?
