There was a post a few pages back where davidlees suggested that Arthur would be heard somewhere unexpected. I wonder where he could mean...
I'm still awaiting said result. David?
That is a terrible theme! Stinks of trying to Americanise it because Arthur was far too British! No gravitas whatsoever.

In the last election, there were no opt-outs on the Beeb during the night, apart from the one after the news at 10.30, but at regular intervals the regions overlaid local headlines and results on the screen, which may well be the case again this year. Then there's a half-hour opt-out at 9am.
I never watch ITV but I think they do two or three opt-outs during the night.
Are there usually any regional opt-outs during the election night shows on both the BBC and ITV? I'm sure they'll probably be one in the first hour or two which will basically be the late news, but do they continue beyond that?

I think it was Gavin Scott who made the original comment rather than davidlees - when that particular day's posts were all accidentally deleted:
Why I oughta....
*shakes fist*
Anyway... in reply to gilsta, no, ITV is not using Arthur as its election night theme music.
You will hear Arthur on Election night, just not used where you would expect to hear it. Remember, you heard that from me first.

I confess. This is true. With that in mind, when it turns out that the plans have changed and Arthur isn't used after all, please direct all scorn towards Mr. Gavin Scott.

Eurovision/EBU are setting up a tented encampment in the grounds of St Thomas' Hospital - http://twitpic.com/1lbnqs - they've got six live positions overlooking the Palace of Westminster
And they're setting up the equipment for the BBC to project the state of the parties onto the clock tower; http://twitpic.com/1lbozz

Wonder if the BBC regions will have their regular breakfast bulletins too.
