Could be interesting in the next few minutes if the Wales and/or Scotland debate overruns and misses the start of the news.
the Scotland debate wasn't live, so no problems there!`

Wasn't sure about the earlier pictures but that looks fantastic. Thanks for the image.

Never judge a set by photos - always wait for it to be seen "on camera" - when you see the angles it has been designed for, when it is lit, and when the bits you aren't supposed to see are unseen (most of the time)

The BBC election set always looks pretty superb. How many people will be working in it on Thursday night, and how does this compare to the regular newsroom?

As for ITV - it's really only the briefest of glimpses in the promo but it's looking better than I thought it would, but a shame that they're not using the atrium as they did in 1997/2001.

A view of Dimbleby's vast array of monitors...

Obviously, I can't tell from the depth of the photo but the text looks small again. I can hear Dimble now "And err.. *slight pause glance into specs* yes.. it appears I made a mistake earlier with that result from Coventry..." "And I think that says 12.. does that say 12 to you? Nick Robinson..."

Monitors aside though, I shall of course be watching the Dimbleby coverage.

Does that mean that breakfast will be in there from tomorrow?

Suspect it will be more of a sneak peak - why would they move the show in there tomorrow?

you must be right...they are in TC7 today

Love the set! You can just see in the top left a small desk which I assume news updates will come from as it appears the background is the same virtual newsroom they use on the NC.

Looks pretty good and nice to see the news coming from the balcony again this time round. Is that the old news desk from TC7 by any chance?

Doesn't look like it - the front of it looks too red and it looks more oval.

(thinking about it, isn't TC0 VR capable, so I don't know what the advantages of using ITN were...)

TC0 is now used by BBC Research and Development now they've moved out of Kingswood Warren.

Surprised they're not in N6 like weekends, with it being a bank holiday

The picture quality from the Daily Politics studio really is shoddy. Looks so unprofessional for a flagship politics programme.
