Are you wholeheartedly saying New Labour will be history then?
Will we get it used in the montage at the end of the coverage, or perhaps in a VT showing the "New Labour" history?

Of course... They wont win with an outright majority, at best it will play some role in the LibDem-Labour hung parliament.
But even if they did miraculously win, 'New' Labour is finished, and many of the faces of labour will go.

Yup, after the battering they have taken, Brown will go, be it by the Party, by riots, or in a box.

The point is - in our electoral system it isn't supposed to be about who leads the party. That's changing rapidly though, I wonder how much things will have changed by the next election.

Tony Blair has more right to be PM as it was him leading the Labour Party which won the election.

At least watch the graphics with the benefit of animation and a presenter explaining it before you judge. The graphics were not designed to be viewed as a single capture on a TV presentation site.
The point of the swingometeter is that it is a very simple, very effective way of visualising what is happening with a universal trend between two parties. Introduce a third party and basically it cannot work.
You should be able to look at election graphics and immediately have an understanding of what they are saying.
I haven't got a bloody clue what that ITV graphic shows. It's gimmicky.

It looks as though it shows what would happen if the Lib Dems lend their support to the Conservatives. That particular graphic isn't meant as a replacement of the swingometer anyway.

Tony Balir was elected to power in exactly the same way as Gordon Brown. We don't vote for a PM, and these debates have probably done many local candidates no favours at all, for all parties.
Tony Blair has more right to be PM as it was him leading the Labour Party which won the election, and it was Tony and Gordon all throughout these 13 years.
I cant see New Labour surviving this election.
