Oh and pretty sure this has been mentioned but in case not: all the BBC election nights are available online, in full, here:

That's fantastic. Thanks. Watching a bit of 1997.

Are all the BBC regional debates pre-recorded? The South East one is.

The London debate was pre-recorded earlier this evening.

The theme has indeed, completely changed and used across all output. It's not the Vote 2001 tune, but l'm sure it's used across election output it might even get played as the theme for the election debate Wink

Or even here...

Yup, that's the same theme I heard it's going to be. The longer version (which I presume we'll hear on the night) is a tad nicer but its not a patch on the pompous joy of Arthur

Who is the moron at the BBC who decided to change a nice little piece of television history by replacing "Arthur" as the theme music?

They showed bits of the Hull one on Look North straight before it. I was actually phoned up and asked if I wanted to be in the audience for that one, as I'd applied to be in the audience for Question Time when it came round here last year. You'd think they'd have sorted out the audience a bit earlier than the afternoon of the actual show. I didn't go.

You will hear Arthur on Election night, just not used where you would expect to hear it. Remember, you heard that from me first.

Where are we going to hear it then? Between Swingometer moments? It IS the Election theme (Vote 2001 aside). It's like changing the theme to Coronation Street to drum n bass.

Just seen on ITV News at Ten, the set for the BBC debate tomorrow looks a lot more grand than ITV or Sky's effort.

Yes they just showed it on Sky aswell, looks very nice. As you say it appears to be much bigger than Sky's or ITV's.
