And what an arrogant little man he seems to be. This isn't about "public service" at all, it's about empire building!

What empire are you suggesting will suddenly be built as a result of this programme?

ITV insisted their debate be Exclusively Live on ITV 1 and ITV 1 hd, while both Sky News and the BBC have offered live simulcasting. If it is Sky empire building, what is it for the BBC?

Is it a full list? I'm guessing BBC World News will be showing it since they showed the 1st one

Also interesting that Five is omitted from this line "BBC, ITV and Channel 4 could have put out the Sky debate live as a public service but have chosen not to."

AFAIK Five have no public service obligations.

Explain Live from Studio Five.

A way to safely contain the insane ramblings of Iain Wright, and a woman with too many teeth for her small head, by placing both on a channel few people will stumble across.

I wasn't gonna touch that particular show... Cool

Explain Live from Studio Five.
As a colleague put it, "Five's answer to the One Show, if the question is 'what could possibly be worse than the One Show?'"

For those who were asking earlier it appears that Breakfast will not be shown on Friday 7th May. Instead it appears that at 6AM there will be a presenter change. Jon Sopel and Sian Williams will take over 'from the election studio' and coverage will run non-stop on BBC One until 2pm.

Does anyone know when BBC National News will be moving into the election studio?

Week of the election, isn't it? I read somewhere that this would happen from May 3 and that it was just going to be the Ten O'Clock News. Correct me if I'm wrong anybody...

I'm wondering whether or not ITV will be tempted to do the same with their News at Ten. Incidentally, their election night coverage will begin at 9:55pm instead of 10pm - I think it's been the case in recent years that the BBC have started at that time and ITV waited until 10pm. Will be interesting to see if ratings are one-sided or fairly even.

Seeing as we know the BBC will be going election-mad until 2pm, does anybody knows what going to happen in the schedules ITV-wise on May 7? AIUI they'll be having GMTV take over as normal at 6am but the programme will feature ITV News prominently. Do ITN take over from 9:25am and if so, when until?
