On the itv.com eletion stream - just was said 49,000 people are reding the comment stream - not bad then!
Worm thing quite good, Website working fine , apart from comment cloud and the twitter sentiment tracker wasn't working earlier. The Rate the debate Facebook app isn't and still not working at all!

I know it's a presentation forum but who do people think are winning?

I feel Gordon Brown has got the better of David Cameron.

I agree - the itv.com stream has a vote thing,
For the question " Who do you think is winning the debate so far?"
It is currently and has mostly been throughout Clegg - 45% Brown - 35%, Cameron 20%.

According to C4 Clegg is well ahead which I would have to agree with personally. Not really sure how Boulton and Dimbleby are going to be if they have to step in as much as Alistair

So, are Sky News breaking the rules by using breaking news straps relating to the debate after 10pm or are ITV breaking the rules by overrunning?

Gormless man is gormless.

When originally broadcast, the first Sky News "after 30 minutes" poll was Brown 28%, Cameron 36%, Clegg 36%, but then it was later changed on the website to Brown 25%, Cameron 35%, Clegg 40%. Now it's showing Brown 28%, Cameron 33%, Clegg 39%. Seemed they went to air before the full results were in (I'm talking about the "after 30 mins" poll which made it to air, not the later two, which are also fluctuating still).

EDIT: Likewise, skynews.com currently has the headline "Cameron wins TV debate" with the very early final vote figures of Cameron 53%, Clegg 28%, Brown 19%, while Sky News TV is using the final figures of Cameron 31%, Brown 32%, Clegg 37%.

I agree. Nick Clegg did well too, but not well enough to position himself as a serious contender.

The rule about breaking news straps only applies to when Sky hosts its debate next week. I guess a breaking 'bad' news story about one of the parties plastered over the debate would make it unbalanced.

But does it? I thought the same as you, but why didn't Sky News have any breaking news regarding anything said in the debate until 10pm? I think the rules must cover all debates.

Sky News TV is using the final figures of Cameron 31%, Brown 32%, Clegg 37%.

Let's see how the Murdoch press spin that one tomorrow.

Weird how the Sky figures changed so dramatically, with Cameron going from first to third. Loved the touchscreen analysis with Martin Stanford.

Anyone know what studios Jonathan Dimbleby is coming from tonight?
