That is pretty dire. Looks like a mid-90s ITV gameshow.
It makes a nice change from the over use of lights and screens we have seen in recent years. I would like to see more sets that involve bits of cardboard stuck to other bits of cardboard. Hopefully this is a sign that things are changing.
Let's face it though - ITV could announce the end of the world and even though everything has collapsed around them, many people wouldn't believe it until the BBC confirm it for them.

Some ridiculous figures of 20m and even 30m being suggested for tonight's debate - can't see that at all myself, even if they are stopping people flying out of the country.
And though it's looking great inside, I don't think they could have picked an uglier building from the outside than Granada Studios for this first debate.
There is a rule that news channels can't show breaking news banners relating to the debate while it is on air. I read this rule to mean that the BBC News 24 Channel and Sky News could not show breaking news during their respective debates, but something said on the BBC this afternoon makes me think that neither them or Sky News can having breaking news straps for any of the debates whether they are showing it or not. Does anyone know for sure?
Does anyone know if Gordon Brown is getting a tour of Coronation Street today? Would he be in the right frame of mind to enjoy it?
Maybe all three leaders should get a tour of Coronation Street after the debate so they can take it all in.
Apparently, according to Adam Boulton, 'one' of the leaders' teams had a peak on set of Cora this afternoon where they were originally planning to explode the factory for a stunt but that was re-scheduled as the police and security decided it would be best not to have explosives on site.

I'm wondering if there is effectively a blackout on reporting on the debate until it is over considering Sky are opting for a two-hour special showing planes not flying anywhere due to a cloud of ash no one can see.

My feelings exactly.
Didn't you make a similar Michael Jackson joke the other week Brekkie? No wonder your post count is so high, you repeat things more than Dave.
