Votes in Northern Ireland are for the first time going to be counted overnight.
Does this mean NI viewers will lose the national count coverage from BBC and ITN???? Given that NI voters don't vote for Great Britain political parties (UCUNF nothwithstanding) I suppose it is only right that BBC NI and UTV should do their own thing but for many political anoraks (and there are no shortage of them on this side of the Irish Sea) loosing the UK-wide election night - at least for people who don't have Sky Digital - will be disappointing.
Oh well, Sky News it is then I suppose...
